Overall Feedback: Legends of the Fog is nestled pretty much in what seems to be the middle of nowhere. The car ride to this haunt was definitely dark and quite eerie. Our group couldn't have gotten a better night to attend this haunt as we had perfectly clear skies and a quite bright, full moon. This haunt provides around 75 minutes of actual time spent in the attractions! We definitely feel that the admission price is well worth the performance provided! Once you arrive and have purchased tickets, you will enter the haunts midway area which features games, food, coffin rides, bonfire, music, etc. All customers begin with the Farewell Hotel attraction and since everyone is starting with the same attraction, a long wait should be expected. However, once you are through the first haunt, all other wait times are very minimal. Our group attended on a Sunday evening and there was still quite a wait for the regular admission patrons. We strongly encourage you to purchase the fast pass tickets or arrive close to ticket booth opening time in order to shorten the initial wait time. Farewell Hotel and the Haunted Hayride were by far the standout attractions at Legends of the Fog. Both featured great scenes, scares, props, actors, etc. We personally felt that the Cornstalkers Maze and Sinister Circus were lacking of the same great scenes, scares, props, and actors found in the other two attractions. Farewell Hotel should receive an award for sticking to the same theme throughout the entire attraction! We truly felt as if we were wandering through an abandoned hotel! The Haunted Hayride was one of our groups favorite hayrides of the season. A lot of special effects and great acting really carried the frighteningly eerie atmosphere through the entire ride. Our group definitely believes that Legends of the Fog could easily become one of the best haunts in Maryland if the overall experience is positively altered in the Cornstalkers Maze and Sinister Circus. Legends of the Fog already has two mind blowingly good haunts in the hayride and hotel so if the other two haunts up the intensity, their would definitely be a top notch experience provided at Legends of the Fog! Legends of the Fog definitely gets high praise from our group for sticking with the same theme through each of their four attractions! All staff encountered were very friendly and truly cared about the customer experience. We were thoroughly pleased with the mixture of scares and laughs at Legends of the Fog and we definitely encourage all haunt enthusiasts to go check them out! When you attend, make sure you tell them that YORK FRIGHT REVIEW SQUAD sent you!!

Individual Attraction Review:

Attraction Name: Farewell Hotel

Overall Attraction Rating (scale of 1-10): 8

Attraction Scare Factor Rating (scale of 1-10): 7

Actor Rating (scale of 1-10): 8

Likes: Farewell Hotel was by far one of our groups favorite haunted attractions so far this season! The facade of the hotel is very well done and provides an eerie feel. Legends of the Fog were one of the first haunts to carry their theme through the entirety of an attraction. It truly felt as if we were walking through a fully functional hotel. All of the actors skits matched the scene and the overall theme of the haunt. The actors also stayed in complete character. The scenes were all very realistic and truly portrayed rooms that could be found in a hotel. This attraction definitely had a creepy vibe to it. Although this attraction wasn't terrifying to our group members, there were plenty of screams and cries heard from other patrons.

Dislikes: None!

Attraction Name: Cornstalkers Maze

Overall Attraction Rating (scale of 1-10): 6

Attraction Scare Factor Rating (scale of 1-10): 6

Actor Rating (scale of 1-10): 6

Likes: Cornstalkers Maze is truly an actual corn maze. You won't find lighted pathways and only one designated route of travel through this cornfield. It's truly up to the customers to find their way out. Again, Legends of the Fog stuck with the same theme throughout the entire haunt. Scarecrows, birds, farmers, etc. were scattered throughout the cornfield just waiting for their prey to come to them.

Dislikes: The only significant downfall of this attraction was the lack of actors encountered. With the name “Cornstalkers”, our group was hoping to feel like we were being stalked through our entire journey. Although the lack of actors did lead to some moments of suspense where you were just waiting for one of the actors lurking in the cornfield to jump out after you.

Attraction Name: Haunted Hayride

Overall Attraction Rating (scale of 1-10): 8

Attraction Scare Factor Rating (scale of 1-10): 8

Actor Rating (scale of 1-10): 9

Likes: The Haunted Hayride at Legends of the Fog definitely didn't disappoint. One of the group favorites of the night by far! So many elaborate scenes were found throughout this haunt. We loved how different the hayride was compared to other haunts. Many of the scenes featured things we've never seen on a hayride before. And we can't forget to mention the intensity of the actors. The hayride had an abundance of actors, all of whom were frighteningly awesome! Each and every actor stayed in character and interacted with all of the patrons on the wagon. We witnessed multiple grown men jump in fear on this hayride!

Dislikes: None!

Attraction Name: Sinister Circus

Overall Attraction Rating (scale of 1-10): 6

Attraction Scare Factor Rating (scale of 1-10): 6

Actor Rating (scale of 1-10): 6

Likes: Sinister Circus wasn't your typical clown/carnival themed haunted attraction. This haunt had it's own theme separate from all other haunts. This attraction had more laughs than scares but we still enjoyed the attraction overall.

Dislikes: The actors in Sinister Circus lacked the intensity and interaction that was found in a few of the other attractions at Legends of the Fog. Nothing really blew our minds in this attraction. A lot of the scenes were a bit bare and empty and with the lacking of actors, we often found ourselves just walking straight through some of the scenes. We'd really like to see Legends of the Fog add more props, actors, and scares to this attraction to ultimately provide a more terrifying experience!
